3 John

The apostle John wrote this third letter to a believer named Gaius. John commends Gaius because he lived according to the truth and refused to accept the false teaching that was widespread at the time.

When God's servants went to Gaius's house, he welcomed them with love. This act pleased the apostle John. A person who acts in this way has already known truth and love. There were also believers who did not want to do this.

May God help us not to close our hearts to God's servants. Amen!
