Listen to the Gospel of Jesus

This great Holy Book is a collection of twenty-seven books. It begins with four books called ‘The Gospels of Jesus,’ which are: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. All four of these present the way Jesus lived his life on earth, starting from his birth until his ascension into heaven. The story of Jesus and his teachings is very important. After the four books that form the Gospels of Jesus, come the rest of the books. They explain everything perfectly.

Matthew Mark Luke John

The account of the events that took place after Jesus’s resurrection and ascension is found in the story of the first disciples. From Jerusalem to Rome, Jesus’s followers preached the good news. Their dedication to this work led many people to follow Jesus’s teachings. Everywhere, people repented, put their faith in Jesus, and were added to the number of believers.

Acts of the Apostles

After the story of Jesus’s disciples, the books that follow are letters written by the apostles: Paul, John, Peter, James, and Jude and addressed either to a single believer or to a group of believers. God had given the apostles his Holy Spirit so that they could write down his own word. The wisdom these books impart is very useful for everyone.

The last book of the twenty-seven is called ‘The Revelation of God’ or ‘Apocalypse. ‘It was written by the apostle John for believers who were suffering because of their faith in Jesus. He encouraged them by telling them to persevere, because at the end of the world God will banish all evil. The way that God will do this is fully described in this last book.
