This holy book is the letter that the Apostle Paul wrote to the believers who lived in and around the city of Ephesus. Previously, Paul had preached in this city to bring people to faith in Jesus. He stayed there for two years. The events that happened during this time are recorded in Acts 19.
At the time Paul wrote this book, he was in prison because of the word of God that he preached. The Holy Spirit inspired the teachings that make up this book. This holy book encouraged the believers in Ephesus and gave them wisdom. Likewise, it can teach us many things as well. It clarifies for us what God's will is, his will which he accomplished through his Messiah Jesus. His will is that every person be saved through Jesus's sacrifice. This book will teach us that no one can be saved by their good works. Human beings are saved by God's grace alone. This book also teaches us that the community of believers is important in God's eyes. He has given them a job to do until the day he returns for them. He taught them the good things that should be the model of conduct for believers. He also gave them the potential to be able to face Satan like a warrior facing his adversary.
The words in this book are very powerful. May God bring them into our hearts. May God grant us his Spirit, who gives wisdom and clarity, so that we may increase our knowledge of God. May God grant us the strength to know the love of his Messiah, a love that surpasses all knowledge. May God make us perfect through all that is perfect in Him. Amen!
